Giannis Antetokounmpo had 42 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists to lead the Milwaukee Bucks to a 103,101 victory over the Boston Celtics to lead a 21-game series in the Eastern Conference Semifinals on Saturday.

Boston at least had a chance to take the lead in extra time when Marcus Smart purposely missed his second free throw with 4.6 seconds left.

But the Celtics failed to capitalize on three near-basket attempts at timeout.

Jrue Holiday added 25 points and three steals, while Antetokounmpo finished with two steals and two interceptions for the Bucks, who rallied 80-67 early in the fourth quarter before the Celtics took a 100-99 lead.

A pair of empty Boston Celtics properties and a bucket of Antetokounmpo and Holiday allowed Milwaukee to take the 103-100 driver’s seat, setting up Smart’s split at the charity line and an exciting ending to the game.

Jaylen Brown scored 27 points and 12 rebounds to beat Boston Celtics, but Jayson Tatum struggled to pick up ten on a 4 of 19 shot from the field.

Tatum also missed all six of his 3-point attempts for the Boston Celtics, who enjoyed the lead when taking the free throw.

Boston shot 28 of 34 from the pass (82.4%), while Milwaukee had half with 14 of 17).

Al Horford added 22 points, 16 rebounds, and five assists for the Boston Celtics, who will consider even Monday’s series.
